Rachel was born and raised on a farm in Delaware where she grew up with the values of determination, kindness, and acceptance. She holds an undergraduate degree in Cognitive Science from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Jacksonville University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice in California, Florida, Illinois, Texas, and Washington.

Prior to opening Pure Speech Pathology, Rachel provided therapy to children in the public schools and in private practice. Rachel has experience working with children with a variety of speech and language needs, including articulation disorders and lisps, tongue ties, fluency disorders, social skills challenges, literacy disorders, orofacial myofunctional disordersand more. With Pure Speech Pathology, Rachel is able to connect with children and families across the country to provide individualized specialty services to advance her clients' skills.

Rachel believes strongly in giving back to the world in a positive manner. She is dedicated to helping children learn to find their voice (and swallow!) in this world. And in doing so, she is not just helping a child, she is having a positive impact on the whole family.

Rachel always makes sure her clients are engaged in the learning process and having fun while making progress on their goals. Using evidence-based therapy approaches, Rachel provides her clients with the expert care they need to achieve their goals. She is an outgoing and creative therapist who values the relationships she builds with each client and their families.

When Rachel is not supporting the many families she works with, she loves exploring the National Parks, hiking, working out, reading, and traveling with her two puppies and incredibly supportive husband.

Meraki: to do something with passion, with absolute devotion, with undivided attention. Putting "yourself" into your work or whatever you are doing.
